The position of Director of Grant Writing and Compliance requires a Master's degree and three years of full-time experience in higher education or with a nonprofit agency working with grants. This position requires knowledge of regulations, guidelines, and procedures pertaining to federal/state agencies and other funding agencies/organizations. This position requires experience in research techniques to gather, analyze, and summarize information and to develop successful grant proposals. The position requires proficiency with a variety of technical computer applications including grant search engines. This position must have the ability to locate research and write grant applications and the ability to plan, prioritize, and coordinate multiple projects. This position requires the ability to communicate collaboratively and work effectively with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and the ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines for grant opportunities. A criminal background check is also required.
